RESOLUTION NO. 401
WHEREAS, on the 31st day of May, 1975, MISS EARLENE PACHECO,
19-year old graduate of John Robert Powers Modeling School,
was crowned the first Miss Hawaii Puerto Rico; and
WHEREAS, MISS EARLENE PACHECO captured the swimsuit and
gown awards and placed high in the talent contest with her
hula to The Magic Island" ; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is proud of the talented and
lovely MISS EARLENE PACHECO, Miss Hawaii Puerto Rico, for her
wonderful personality, accomplishment, beauty, and talent,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that wa.7.'m congratulations and sincere wishes
for continuing happiness and success in the future be extended
to MISS EARLENE PACHECO, Miss Hawaii Puerto Rico of 1975.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of
this resolution to MISS EARLENE PACHECO and to her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pacheco of Hilo, in recognition of their
daughter's notable and deserving accomplishment.
