Dear Chairman Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Julie Hugo of Council District 2 to the Water Board.
Ms. Hugo is currently the Broker in Charge at Clark Realty, LLC. She has also worked
in project management and marketing for resort developments in Hawai'i County and
Molokai.
Ms. Hugo is an active participant in our community and has served on numerous
organization including being past president of Hawai'i Island YWCA, Hale Aloha 0 Hilo
Habitat for Humanity, Hawai'i Island Realtors, Rotary Club of Hilo Bay, and many more.
She is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and Stanford University, a lifelong resident
of Hawai'i, and states she is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, she may
serve a 5 year term to end December 31, 2023.
