COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />1.16 19 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A <br />YAMAHA GOLF CART TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION <br />WHEREAS, Marylou Greisser is donating one (1) Yamaha golf cart, valued at <br />$3000 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, this golf cart will be utilized at Kamehameha Park by the Department of <br />Parks & Recreation's Elderly Activities division as well as their Recreation division's and <br />Parks Maintenance division's staff members; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that <br />the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or <br />other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, <br />Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations <br />of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of <br />the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance <br />of this donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br />Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai'i County Code, the Council of the County of <br />Hawai'i accepts this donation. <br />
