STATE OF HAWAII 1.16 19 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A YAMAHA GOLF CART TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION WHEREAS, Marylou Greisser is donating one (1) Yamaha golf cart, valued at $3000 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, this golf cart will be utilized at Kamehameha Park by the Department of Parks & Recreation's Elderly Activities division as well as their Recreation division's and Parks Maintenance division's staff members; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawai'i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i accepts this donation. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to the Marylou Greisser, P.O. Box 190796, Hawi, Hawaii 96719, acknowledging this generous donation.
