Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii
requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from appropriations of a later fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County is subsidizing the base fare of partially
subsidized students;
WHEREAS, the State has bid out and entered for provision of
student transportation services; and
WHEREAS, the County has not formally contracted for its
part of the services and desires to so contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County contract
with the same carriers and over the same period of years that
the State contracts cover, and that necessary funds be provided
in future fiscal years to cover the obligation of the County.
