RESOLUTION 457
WHEREAS, Keishiro Hisaoka was born on January 14, 1890
in Hiroshima Ken, Japan; and
WHEREAS, in 1907 at the age of seventeen, he departed
from Japan to settle in Hawaii: and
WHEREAS, Keishiro Hisaoka was then employed by the
Kohala Sugar Company for 44 years up until his retirement
as a carpenter foreman in January 1955 ; and
WHEI,EAS, during the merger of Hawi Mill and Kohaia
Sugar Company, Keishiro Hisaoka played an instrumental role
in the construction programs of these two companies; and
WHEREAS, Keishiro Hisaoka reared a family of two sons
and two daughters, and was the grandfather of three grand-
children and five great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, on August 24, 1975, Keishiro Hisaoka passed
away in the 85th year of his life; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Hawaii County Council
join their colleague, Councilman Ikuo Hisaoka and his
family on the bereavement over the loss of their father,
Keishiro Hisaoka.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OR THE
COUNTY OI HAWAII, that this body extend its deepest
sympathy and condolences to tie family cf the late
Keishiro Hisaoka.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be
and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of this
resolution to his children, Councilman Ikuo Hisaoka,
Masac Hisaoka, Teruko Hisaoka, and to his sister,
Mrs. Tsuru Fujimori.
