WHEREAS , Matt Levi, former news director of KHLO Radio,
resigned on September 2, 1975, to accept a position with KITV
news department in Honolulu; and
WHEREAS , ilatt Levi, a familiar voice in Big,. Island broad-
casting, initiated two programs ' Interview and Insight, which gained
great popularity with local auaiences; and
WHEREAS , Matt Levi, in addition to his duties at KHLO Radio,
also reported for KGMB-TV and United Press International; and
WHEREAS , while employed by KHLO Radio, Matt Levi's style
and quality of newscasting received many complimentary remarks and
praise; and
WHEREAS , in his relationship with government officials and
staffers, Matt Levi displayed a warm and pleasing nersonality which
earned him a legion of friends who will sorely miss his presence.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it extend best wishes and continued success to
Matt Levi in his future endeavors with KITV.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby
directed to transmit a true copy of this resolution to Hatt Levi.
