WHEREAS, pursuant to County Charter Section 3-14 interim amendments
to the Salary Ordinance may be by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Salary Ordinance is hereby amended for the following departments:
SECTION 8.08 (b). BUREAU OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND INSPECTION.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
1. By adding one position of Plumbing Inspector SR-19
2. By adding one position of Electrical Inspector SR-19
3. By adding one position of Building Inspector SR-19
SECTION 8.08 (d). DIVISION OF AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT AND MOTOR POOL.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
1. By adding one position of Construction Equipment Mechanic WB-11
(temporary as needed)
SECTION 8.08 (f-1). SOUTH HILO, BUREAU OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
1. Reallocation of one position of Streetsweeper Operator WB-9
(temporary as needed) to Equipment Operator I WB-6 (temporary as
needed)
SECTION 8.08 (f-2). HAMAKUA AND NORTH HILO, BUREAU OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND
MAINTENANCE. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
1. By adding one position of Road Construction and Maintenance
Supervisor I WF-10 (temporary as needed)
2. Reallocation of one position of Explosive Handler WB-9 (temporary
as needed) to Equipment Operator II WB-9 (temporary as needed)
SECTION 8.08 (f-3). NORTH AND SOUTH KOHALA, BUREAU OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND
MAINTENANCE. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.
1. Reallocation of one position of Explosive Handler WB-9 (temporary
as needed) to Mason WB-10 (temporary as needed)
2. Reallocation of one position of Explosive Handler WB-9 (temporary
as needed) to Equipment Operator I WB-6 (temporary as needed)

(temporary as needed)

SECTION 8.08 (f-6). PUNA, BUREAU OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE.

1. By adding one position of Mason WB-10 (temporary as needed)
2. By adding one position of Equipment Operator III WB-10 (temporary
as needed)
3. By adding one position of Tractor Mower Operator WB-4 (temporary
as needed)
SECTION 8.12. POLICE DEPARTMENT.
1. By adding 3 positions of Police Officer II SR-18
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy each of this Resolution be transmitted
to the departments of Finance, Public Works, Police, Personnel Services,
and Corporation Counsel for their information.
