Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of
Hawaii requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from appropriations of a later
fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, by approval of a performance type contract with
an independent contractor for operation of the County's bus
transit system, the Council has agreed to award a three-year
contract with County' s option to extend for two one-year
periods subject to cancellation provisions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that a three-year bus contract with County
option to extend for two one-year periods be approved and
that necessary funds be provided in the following fiscal
years to cover the obligation of the County under this contract.

1975.
