WHEREAS, Mr. Kazumi Okamura, Division Head of the Department
of Water Supply, nominated MR. THOMAS KAZUO KIYOJIMA as a
candidate for the County Government Non-Supervisory Employee
of the Year on the basis that MR. KIYOJIMA evidenced outstanding
job performance as a Water Plant Electrician Mechanic; MR. KIYOJIMA
demonstrated outstanding relationship with fellow employees ,
supervisors and the public; MR. KIYOJIMA set a very high standard
of dedication and responsibility in keeping our electrical pump
stations in operation at all time; MR. KIYOJIMA, by developing
a method of using an advanced chlorinator instead of pumping
the chlorinator water into the main, has saved time and money
for the Department of Water Supply; and MR. KIYOJIMA also showed
great initiative in improving the controls at many of the
department's old pump stations ; and
WHEREAS, on October 17 , 1975, WR. THOMAS KAZUO KIYOJIMA
of the Department of Water Supply, County of Hawaii , was chosen
Hawaii County Government Non-Supervisory Employee of the Year
and was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition
of outstanding public services rendered to the County of Hawaii
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is very
proud and honored to have such an outstanding employee as
MR. THOMAS KAZUO KIYOJIMA working in the County government and
wishes to warmly express its congratulations and gratitude for
his outstanding services and accomplishments ,
NOW, TF.EREFOPE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that 72TR. THOMAS KAZUO KIYOJIMA be, and is hereby,
commended and congratulated for being chosen Hawaii County
Government Non-Supervisory Employee of the Year and is hereby
extended the Council's sincere appreciation and rnahalo in
recognition of the continuing and outstanding work as a dedicated,
responsible public servant of the people of the Ccunty of
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a true copy of this resolution
be transmitted by the County Clerk to MR THOMAS KAZUO KIYOJIMA
as evidence of the gratitude of the people of the County of
Hawaii and of the County Council 's deep respect and appreciation
for MR. KIYOJIMA's aggressive devotion in serving the public as
an employee of the County of Hawaii.
