RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, athletic competition is a builder of character,
leadership, good sportsmanship and physical fitness; and
WHEREAS, the Kau Chargers, recently annexed the Junior
Midget football title in the Pop Warner League; and
WHEREAS, the Kau Chargers Junior Midget team, for boys
10-12 and up to 116 pounds, won their division championship
with a perfect 8-0-0 record; and
WHEREAS, the Kau Chargers battled on November 20, 1975,
in the sixth annual Shrine Bowl against a foe from Maui in a
worthy cause for the crippled children's hospital on Oahu; and
WHEREAS, the players, coaches, managers, parents and
supporters of the Chargers deserve special recognition for the
hard work, patience and enthusiasm they have generated in
bringing this season to a successful conclusion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it takes this means to extend congratulations
and best wishes to the Kau Chargers on winning the Junior Midget
football championship in the Pop Warner League.
BE IT FURTHER REc,!OLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of
this resolution to Manager Raymond Milare and Coach Simon Torres
of the Kau Chargers.
