RESOLUTION NO. 4
WHEREAS, athletic competition is a builder of character,
leadership, good sportsmanship and physical fitness; and
WHEREAS, the Hilo Boys Club, a private youth organization
and a sponsor of numerous athletic clubs, recently annexed two
football titles in the Pop Warner League for the Pee Wee and
Junior Bantam divisions; and
WHEREAS, the Pee Wee division team for boys 9-11 and up
to 101 pounds, won their Big Island title on November 15,1975,
with a 5-0-0 record; and
WHEREAS, the Junior Bantam division team for boys 12-14
and up to 141 pounds, won their Big Island title on November 1,
1975, with a 7-0-0 record; and
WHEREAS, these two teams battled on November 20, 1975, in
the sixth annual Shrine Bowl against interisland foes in a
worthy cause for the crippled children's hospital on Oahu; and
WHEREAS, the players, coaches, managers, parents and
supporters of these teams deserve special recognition for the
hard work, patience and enthusiasm they have generated in making
this program a success.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it takes this means to extend congratulations
and best wishes to the Hilo Boys Club Pee Wee and Junior Bantam
teams on winning their respective division championships .

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of this
resolution to Managers Nobuo Yamauchi and Shell Blanscet and
to Coaches James Amay and Reginald Chong.
