WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department have depleted
their ranks with the retirement of seven of its dedicated
employees at the end of the 1975 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, these outstanding civil servants have cumulatively
amassed over two hundred years of faithful service both to the
Police Department and the general public as shown in the follow-
ing order:
1. Inspector Edward Rosehill - 30 years, 3 months
2. Radio Mechanic Technician Tatsumi "Chocolate" Nishida -
30 years
3. Policeman John Kufrovich - 29 years, 5 months
4 . Motor Patrolman Ernest Texeira - 29 years, 1 month
5 . Motor Patrolman Clifford Nagao - 28 years, 9 months
6. Identification Technician Lucas Kekuna - 26 years,
11 months
7. Sr. Clerk-Stenographer Kumiko Kishimoto - 25 years,
8 months; and
WHEREAS, these individuals have performed their respective
duties admirably and reliably as attested by their long years of
experience; and
WHEREAS, their public careers have been exemplary leaving
their successors excellent guidelines to follow;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that in recognition of these long years of dedicated
public service it hereby commends their past endeavors and wishes
all of them the best of everything in their well deserved retire-
ment years.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of this
resolution to Messrs. Edward Rosehill, Tatsumi Nishida, John
Kufrovich, Ernest Texeira, Clifford Nagao, Lucas Kekuna and
Mrs. Kumiko Kishimoto.
