WHEREAS , the youth of the County of Hawaii constitute one of
the island's most important assets ; and
WHEREAS, it has , and continues to be, the responsibility of
a number of dedicated public servants to provide leadership and
guidance in the protection of the rights of our youth within the
State's judicial system; and
WHEREAS , one such individual , SADAO NISHIDA, has devoted his
entire public career over more than 30 years to the development and
maintenance of fair and equitable systems for juveniles and adults
in the community; and
WHEREAS , he has also volunteered many hours of his personal
time to participate in youth activities and community service programs
of benefit to our people; and
WHEREAS , his accomplishments serve as an example to other public
service employees, as a source of pride for the Family Court of the
Third Circuit, State of Hawaii, and as a valuable, living asset for
the people of this County to continue to draw upon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that in recognition of his work and his long and dedicated
service to our community, it hereby commends SADAO NISHIDA for his
past endeavors and sends him all good wishes for continued good health
and active contribution to the life of our youth and our community at
large.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this
resolution to Sadao Nishida.
