Resolution No. 51-8
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDATORY AGREEMENT
REVISING THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION CAPITAL GRANT CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii (herein called "County")
and the United States of America (herein called the "Government")
have entered into a Mass Transportation Capital Grant Contract
as of the 10th day of May 1974 , pursuant to which the County
agreed to undertake a Mass Transportation Capital Improvement
Project and the Government agreed to provide financial
assistance to the County in the form of a Mass Transportation
Capital Grant; and
WHEREAS, the County has submitted an amendatory application
for an increase in the capital grant, which has been approved
in the maximum amount of $474 ,852 , and which additional amount
increases the total grant to $708 ,168 ; and
WHEREAS , the Urban Mass Transportation Administration
has submitted an Offer of Contractual Assistance reflecting
the said increase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
County of Hawaii that Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi is authorized
to enter into an amendatory agreement revising the Mass
Transportation Capital Grant Contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to transmit two certified copies of

this resolution to Theodore A. Munter, UMTA, Assistant
Chief Counsel, UCC-30 , 400 7th Street, S .W. , Washington,
D.C. 20590.
