RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, effective December 31, 1975, five members of
the Hawaii County Fire Department concluded a total of 155
man years of dedicated government service; and
WHEREAS, Battalion Chief Johnson Yahili , Jr. , who has
been with the Fire Department since April 1 , 1942 , retired
with 34 years of government service; and
WHEREAS, Captain William Ah Fong who began his employment
on January 1, 1944 , retired after 32 years with the department;
and
WHEREAS, Captain Kiyomi Omoto who began his service with
the Fire Department on August 29 , 1945, retired with 30 years
of service; and
WHEREAS, Captain George Silva who has been with the
department since April 7 , 1949, concluded his career after
27 years; and
WHEREAS, Fire Equipment Operator Kenneth Lee Loy who
began his employment on January 1 , 1944 , retired with 32 years
of service; and
WHEREAS, these gentlemen whose purpose of vocation has
been the safety and welfare of mankind, shall not be forgotten
as they ease themselves into a life of a well deserved rest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it congratulate and recognize Battalion
Chief Johnson Kahili, Jr. , Captain William Ab Fong, Captain

Kiyomi Omoto, Captain George Silva and Fire Equipment Operator
Kenneth Lee Loy for a job well done Find for a warm wish of
continued success in their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of this
resolution to Battalion Chief Johnson YaMli , Jr. , Captain
William Ah Fong, Captain Kiyomi °rot°, Captain George Silva
and Fire Equipment Operator Kenneth Lee Loy.
