WHEREAS, WILLIAM BRILHANTE, 32 , Big Island rancher and realtor
has been named by the Hawaii Jaycees as one of the State 's three
"Outstanding Young Men" for 1975 after being nominated locally by the
Pilo Jaycees late last year; and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM BRILHANTE, started his career in 1963 as a ranch
hand for the Hawaii Cattle Company, a dairy farm with 140 head of cat-
tle on 150 acres of land and attended Hilo College during his spare
time majoring in animal husbandry; and
WHEREAS, in 1965, he purchased the cattle ranch where he was
working and developed the dairy operation to 450 head of cattle, 900
acres of leasehold land and 180 acres of fee simple land; and
WHEREAS, in 1968 , he received his realtor 's license and began
selling real estate for Rudy Hirota Realtors, and later attended the
University of Hawaii Realtors' Institute and received his broker's
license; and
WHEREAS, today, he heads William Brilhante Realtors as owner and
president and also, Brilhante Investment Corporation which deals in
the development of subdivisions and homes; and
WHEREAS, WILLIAM BRILHANTE, has taught catechism for students at
the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Papaikou, helped form the Big
Island Pigeon Club, served in various positions with the Hawaii Island
Board of Realtors and was president of the Big Island Milk Producers '
Association in 1973 ; and

WHEREAS, he is also a member of the National Institute of Real
Estate Brokers, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, the Big Island
Ranchers ' Association, the St. Louis Alumni Association and the Uni-
versity of Hawaii Boosters Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it takes this means to extend congratulations and best
wishes to WILLIAM BRILUANTE on being named one of the three "Outstanding
Young Men" for 1975 in the State of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be
and is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to
WILLIAM BRILHANTE, Paul Pakele, president of the Hilo Jaycees , and
Michael Murakoshi, president of the Hawaii Jaycees.
