Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 115-19, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 115-19, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 199
dated March 21, 2019, approves and adopts the 2019 Annual Action Plan for the County of Hawai`i
Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnerships Programs and authorizes the
Mayor of the County of Hawai`i to execute and submit the Annual Action Plan and all other related
documents to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The County's Office of Housing and Community Development anticipates a Community Development
Block Grant allocation of$2.5 million from Housing and Urban Development and program income of
$100,000, for a total of$2.6 million of Community Development Block Grant funds; and a HOME
allocation for$482.731. Funds would be used towards housing and related needs of very low, low, and
moderate income throughout Hawaii Island.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 115-19, and
recommends its adoption.
