RESOLUTION NO

WHEREAS, COUNTY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ROBERT M. YAMADA has
been named Boss of the Year for 1975 by the Hilo Jaycees; and
WHEREAS, COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ROBERT M. YAMADA, a Hilo
businessman, was accorded this high honor on the basis of his
leadership and participation in community affairs and for his
contributions to the Jaycee movement; and
WHEREAS, throughout past County Fairs, he has actively
supported this project by contributing the use of his heavy
equipment; and
WHEREAS, through financial contributions, he has aided
the Lehua Jaycees in their project of the year, the Miss Aloha
Hawaii Pageant; and
WHEREAS, COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ROBERT M. YAMADA is a member
or an officer of such organizations as the Democratic Party,
Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce,
Hilo Lions Club, Hawaii Farm Bureau, Aloha Council of Boy
Scouts of America, Aboriginal Lands of Hawaiian Ancestry, Inc. ,
and the presiding officer of the Hawaii County Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it extend congratulations and best
wishes to COUNTY COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ROBERT M. YAMADA for being
named Boss of the Year for 1975 by the Hilo Jaycees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit true copies of
this resolution to COUNCIL CHAIRMAN ROBERT M. YAMADA and to
Paul Pakele, President of the Hilo Jaycees.
