HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 537 Draft 01 1972-1976 RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS , on November 3, 1975, in recognition of his outstanding service to the community of Kona, MR. YOSHITAKA YAMANO of Honaunau, Hawaii, was decorated by the Japanese government on the occasion of Culture Day Celebration in Japan; and WHEREAS, Mr. Yamano was one of eleven persons in the State of Hawaii to receive the distinguished award of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Sixth Class; and WHEREAS, Mr. Yamano, a naturalized American citizen, through his knowledge of the American and Japanese languages led a fruitful and active life of service in the country of his adoption; and WHEREAS , during his many years of unselfish and outstanding community service as an active member and officer of many civic organizations, contributed much to the community of Kona through his philosophy of service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it hereby extends its sincere congratulation on the recognition accorded MR. YOSHITAKA YAMANO, recipient of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Sixth Class, by the Government of Japan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVPD that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be and is hereby directed to transmit a true copy of this resolution to MR. YOSHITAKA YAMANO and to extend the County's sincere congratulations. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 6th day of February, 1976.
