WHEREAS, Bunji Fujimoto was recently awarded the coveted Boy
Scout' s of America Silver Beaver Award; and
WHEREAS, this esteemed award made annually upon the nomination
by chartered local Boy Scout councils, recognized Mr. Fujimoto ' s
noteworthy services, exceptional character and his past contribu-
tions to the proper development of boyhood through the scouting
movement; and
WHEREAS , despite being fully employed as a lab analyst with
the Hawaiian Sugar Company, he has found time not only to devote
to scouting, which he presently ranks as an assistant district
commissioner, but also serves our youth by being active in 4-H
activities and the Hilo High School Booster Club,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that in recognition of Mr. Fujimoto' s long years of
dedicated work in helping our youth, hereby congratulates him on
winning the Silver Beaver Award.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby instructed to remit a true copy of this resolution
to Bunji Fujimoto.
