Resolution
WHEREAS, Article XV of the County Charter, County of
Hawaii, provides for procedures whereby the County Council
may initiate, by ordinance, amendments to the Hawaii County
Charter; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 182 , initiating a Charter
amendment, was adopted after three readings on separate days
and passed by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the entire
membership,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that said ordinance be submitted to the
electors of the County for approval at the coming General
Election; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk publish the
full text of the said ordinance in a daily newspaper of
general circulation in the County at least forty-five (45)
days prior to submission to the electors of the County.
