1HERLAS , ALU LIKE , INC. , a nonprofit organization funded
by the Office of Human Development, U. S. Department of Health,
Iducationand Telfare, seeks to develop educational, health,
occupational and other programs for Hawaiian communities; and
ALU LiKr , INC. , in accomplishing its purpose shall
locate and identify Hawaiians and part Hawaiians statevAce, shall
identify and assess community needs, and shall determine the extent
of Federal funding necessary to implement action programs to meet
identified needs; and
vHIRFAS, the identification and implementation of action
programs will assist communities in our contemporary society; and
r'HERrAS , the districts of Hawaii County have thus far attained
the highest percentage of registration in the 3tate of Hawaii; and
VHITE.S , during the week of February 23 - 28, 1976, a concerted
drive to colinlete the re:lister will be conducted at all major
shopping centers and other places of business throughout the County
of Hawaii,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RLSOLVTD BY THY COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it hereby designates Fchruary 23 - 20, 1976,
"ALU LIXE VE1K" in the County of Hawaii and extends to Alu Like, Inc. ,
its support and cooperation to help accomplish its objectives.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
be and is hereby instructed to transmit a true copy of this
resolution to ALU LIKE, INCORPORATED.
