SUBJECT: An Ordinance Amending�r 2, Article 25, Section 2-139, of the Hawai`i
County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended), Relating to the Procedure for
Awarding Grants to Nonprofit Organizations.
Attached is a bill to amend Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139, of the Hawai`i County Code
1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), relating to the procedure for awarding grants to nonprofit
organizations. This bill proposes to increase the minimum amount of the grants-in-aid awarded
annually from$1,000,000 to $1,500,000.
