BILL 286: Amends Ordinance 96-72, as amended, the Operating
Budget for the County of Hawaii for the Fiscal Year ending June 30,
1997, by increasing revenues in the Federal Grant - Block Grant
account by $2,397,932.73, and appropriating to the following
accounts: Purchase of 2 vans for the Care -A -Van Program ($70,000);
acquisition of fire truck for Pahala Fire Station ($324,000);
acquisition of fire truck for Laupahoehoe Fire Station ($324,000);
acquisition of fire truck for Central Fire Station ($324,000);
construction of volunteer fire station - Hawaiian Ocean View Estates
($60,000); Administration/Planning & Fair Housing ($79,932.73);
County of Hawaii American Disability Act Curb Cut Transitional Plan
($100,000); removal of architectural barriers for persons with
disabilities - Pahoa Community Center, Yano Hall, Naalehu Community
Center, and Spencer Beach Park ($175,000); Central Puna Water Master
Plan ($100,000); Hamakua Housing Corporation Camp Water Distribution
System - Kekoa, Waipunalei and Paauilo Camps ($486,500); and Lincoln
Park improvements ($354,500). AYES: Councilmembers Arakaki,
De Lima, Domingo, Childs, Osorio, Rath, Ray, Smith, and
Council Chairwoman Bonk -Abramson - 9.
