Dear Chair Chung and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Guillerma "Irma" Galdones Sumera to the Pension Board.
A lifelong resident of Hawai'i Island, Ms. Sumera is retired after several decades as a
County employee in numerous roles, including a Private Secretary. She is active in the
community assisting with several community organizations such as the Merrie Monarch
Festival and the Big Island Filipino Community Council.
Ms. Sumera indicates that she is a member of the Democratic Party. If confirmed, she
may serve a term to expire December 31, 2022.
