RESOLUTION NO. 160 19
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF
COUNTIES' EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SLATE OF OFFICERS.
WHEREAS, Hawai`i County is a member of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties
(HSAC); and
WHEREAS, the HSAC Executive Committee on April 12, 2019, approved a slate of
executive committee members for the respective terms beginning July 1, 2019; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the HSAC Bylaws, prior to the HSAC annual meeting
in June 2019, "each council after receipt of the slate shall take action deemed necessary to
approve the slate at the annual meeting; provided that no council shall take any action requesting
or requiring removal from the slate of an appointee from another council"; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
Hawai`i State Association of Counties' Executive Committee members and alternates are
approved as follows for the term beginning July 1, 2019:
President: Joey Manahan; alternate Ikaika Anderson
Vice President: Ross Kagawa; alternate Arthur Brun
Secretary: Ashley L. Kierkiewicz; alternate Rebecca Villegas
Treasurer: Kelly T. King; alternate Tamara Paltin

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the President and the Secretary of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties.
