Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 58, reports as follows:
Bill No. 58, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 224 dated
April 4, 2019, amends Ordinance No. 18-68, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawai`i for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2019.
This bill appropriates revenues in the State Grants—Hawai`i Island Tourism Strategic Plan($35,000);
and appropriates the same to the Hawai`i Island Tourism Strategic Plan—State account. Funds would
be used to increase communication, interaction and understanding between industry stakeholders,
residents and the visitor industry.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 58, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
