.JMt;iuF N,�'.. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -•E �'' /1• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 166 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING.AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO BOYS TO MEN <br /> MENTORING NETWORK OF HAWAII,INC., TO ASSIST WITH FOOD EXPENSES <br /> FOR ITS "ADVENTURE WEEKEND." <br /> WHEREAS, Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Hawai`i, Inc., is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit <br /> organization that provides positive guidance, inspiration, support, and a safe environment for <br /> boys; and <br /> WHEREAS, Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Hawai`i, Inc., is hosting its annual <br /> "Adventure Weekend," a free event for boys ages 14 to 17 at Camp Kilohana in Waimea this <br /> fall; and <br /> WHEREAS, "Adventure Weekend"will include trained mentor support, leadership <br /> opportunities, and team building exercises that will empower attendees to be compassionate, <br /> respectful, accountable, and courageous individuals; and <br /> WHEREAS, Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Hawai`i, Inc., is requesting financial <br /> assistance to purchase food needed for its "Adventure Weekend"; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Liquor Control supports drug-fee and alcohol-free <br /> programs that enrich the lives of community members; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Hawai`i, Inc.,to assist <br /> with food expenses for its "Adventure Weekend." <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
