SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
Walua Road: Proposed 20 MPH Speed Limit
We received a request to authorize speed limits along Walua Road in N.
Kona. A speed studywas conductedand we find 20 mph to be the appropriate
speed limit along this narrow winding road.
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-254,
Schedule 2 (20 mile per hour limit) be amended.
A location map is attached for your information.
