Dear Chairman Schutte and Councilmembers :
RE: Amendment to Bill 132
Attached please find a proposed Draft 2 to Bill 132 which
passed first reading on September 22-, 1993 . The amendment
increases the revenues and appropriations for the "Laser
Speed Measuring Device 1993-94" grant by $3 , 100 .
Police Department reported that the grant amount received
from the Motor Vehicle Safety Office was for $13 , 100,
rather than the $10, 000 initially submitted in Bill 132 .
It is requested that Bill 132 be amended on second reading
by the attached second draft .

B . BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USEADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED) :
The Motor Vehicle Safety Office has provided a Grant to purchase 1
Laser Speed Measuring Unit with speed monitoring display sign and 4
drone radars and to cover the overtime costs incurred while using the
Laser . The grant period runs from October 1 , 1993 through September
30, 1994. Enclosed is a copy of the signed grant .
