No. 263 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona,Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:03 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 263, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 263, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 18, 2019, nominates <br /> Benson Philip Medina to the Salary Commission. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Mr. Medina. Mr. Medina is <br /> employed with Veritas Holdings and currently is the president of the Rotary Club of South Hilo, a <br /> Board Member of the Hawai`i Island Veterans Memorial, Inc., and also a strong supporter of the <br /> American Cancer Society Relay for Life. He graduated from Kamehameha Schools and obtained his <br /> bachelor's degree in Communications from Pacific University and graduate studies from Portland State <br /> University. <br /> Mr. Medina expressed his willingness to serve on the Salary Commission. Council Members and <br /> Chair David commented in favor of the appointment.
