A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST WITH THE EXPENSE OF INSTALLING
COVERED DUGOUTS AT KURTISTOWN PARK.
WHEREAS, Kurtistown Park is located in Kurtistown in the District of Puna on Hawaii
Island and is utilized for various sports and activities; and
WHEREAS, there is an ongoing effort to improve the facilities at Kurtistown Park; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has identified the need for covered
dugouts that will provide much-needed shade and protection for the citizens who utilize the park;
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to assist with the expense of installing covered dugouts at Kurtistown Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

CREDITED TO: Department of Parks and Recreation

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Department of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
