RESOLUTION NO. 178 19
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2019 SUMMER FUN PROGRAM AT
PAHOA DISTRICT PARK.
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation's annual Summer Fun Program at
Pahoa District Park consists of a spectrum of arts-and-crafts projects, indoor/outdoor games,
sports, music, dance, nature exploration, swimming, special events, and excursions for children
from kindergarten through sixth grade; and
WHEREAS, the staff at the Summer Fun Program would like to provide lunches and
snacks for the children as there is no lunch delivery service for this area; and
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase
food to provide lunches and snacks for those children participating in the 2019 Summer Fun
Program at Pahoa District Park; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for the 2019 Summer Fun Program at Pahoa District Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
