COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />:187 19. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A STORAGE <br />CONTAINER FROM THE STATE OF HAWAII FOR THE HAWAII <br />COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br />WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural <br />Resources wishes to transfer ownership of a 20 foot storage container, valued at <br />$5,000, to the County of Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the storage container will be used at the County of Hawaii <br />Trap and Skeet Range; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br />provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of <br />money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real <br />estate, and Chapter 2,, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br />states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which <br />fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be <br />accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br />acceptance of this equipment; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, <br />that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, <br />and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the <br />Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this equipment. <br />
