RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A STORAGE
CONTAINER FROM THE STATE OF HAWAII FOR THE HAWAII
COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural
Resources wishes to transfer ownership of a 20 foot storage container, valued at
$5,000, to the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the storage container will be used at the County of Hawaii
Trap and Skeet Range; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter
provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of
money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real
estate, and Chapter 2,, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code
states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which
fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be
accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the
acceptance of this equipment; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,
that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter,
and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the
Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this equipment.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the Finance
Department, and the Department of Parks & Recreation.
