Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, we are
requesting a confidential attorney-client discussion in executive session to consult with
the County Council on questions and issues pertaining to its powers, duties, privileges,
immunities and liabilities in the above-entitled matter. We request that this matter be
placed on the June 4, 2019, council agenda. Executive session is requested to discuss
a settlement demand, the County of Hawai`i's trial strategy and the evidence and merits
of the case.
