Subject: Bill 74 to Amend Chapter 20 of the Hawaii County Code Relating to
Polystyrene Foam Food Containers and Food Service Ware Reduction
Dear Chair Chung and Councilmembers:
Pursuant to Councilmember Tim Richards' May 21,2019,referral of Bill 74 to the
Environmental Management Commission("EMC")for comment and recommendation,the EMC
met on May 22, 2019,and discussed the bill.
Seven commissioners were present at the meeting,and the vote was unanimous to recommend
adoption of Bill 74.
