RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF A CADAVER/TRACKING K9 TO THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Friends of the Missing Child Center -Hawaii is donating one (1)
cadaver/tracking K9 to the County of Hawaii Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the cadaver/tracking K9 will be placed with the Hawaii Police
Department's Juvenile Aid Section, Area II, to assist in the recovery of missing children; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts the donation of this cadaver/tracking K9.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Friends of the Missing Child Center -Hawaii, P.O. Box 179469,
Honolulu, HI 96817.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor.
