STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 197 19
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF A CARDSCAN SYSTEM TO THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii
Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC) is donating a new cardscan system to the County of
Hawaii Police Department; and
and
WHEREAS, the Police Department's current cardscan system is no longer supported;
WHEREAS, the new cardscan. system will allow the Police Department to continue
scanning manually rolled fingerprint cards into electronic format for processing and
searching; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Lori A. Kaneshiro, State of Hawai`I, Department of the Attorney
General, Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center, 465 S. King Street Rm. 102, Honolulu, HI
96813.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor.
