The grant funds will be <br /> used to purchase equipment, motor vehicle(s),personnel training and for overtime costs <br /> incurred during training. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br /> Hawaii Tourism Authority for these funds. <br /> In order to receive the funds indicated above, the agreement must be signed by the end of <br /> the current fiscal year. The Hawaii Fire Department requests that a breach be authorized <br /> to submit this bill after the May 30, 2019 submission deadline, and to waive it from the <br /> Finance Committee in order to be placed on the June 19, 2019 Council agenda. They <br /> also request that the five-day hold for reconsideration period be waived in order to further <br /> expedite this resolution.
