COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ,fE <br /> OFN'� ' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 202 19 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO <br /> ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE HAWAII TOURISM <br /> AUTHORITY PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A GRANT TO THE <br /> HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Hawai'i Tourism Authority, a state <br /> organization, is providing a grant to be used for the expansion of the County's <br /> Rescue Watercraft program; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County's Rescue Watercraft program is a crucial part of the <br /> Hawai'i Fire Department's Ocean Safety program; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase equipment, motor vehicle(s), <br /> personnel training and for overtime costs incurred during training; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Hawai'i Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, this Council's <br /> consent is required to enter into this agreement; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawai'i Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the County <br /> of Hawai'i is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, the agreement and any <br /> related documents with the Hawai'i Tourism Authority to receive funds and indicated <br /> above. <br />
