Subject: Funding Firemen
Aloha council members,
We believe the agreement before you should get your approval.
You know how expensive it is to live on all our islands.
Firemen cannot take on a second job (they have to spend many nights at the station) as hotel workers do.
Firemen put their life on the line for their communities every day.
Would you rather train volunteer firemen to help out? I would think that would open up the liability issue.
Are you waiting for self-driving firetrucks and robots?
Please do the right thing and support our firemen by raising their pay.
Sincerely,
Gail W Jackson &William B Simonsma
