SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 79; Appropriates a Donation From Japan for the
Lava Disaster Relief in Lower Puna
Please see below proposed amendments to Bill No. 79. This amendment would require the total
donation of$9,245.22 to go towards purchasing software to assist with the lava disaster relief
efforts.
The proposed amendments are illustrated below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents
of Bill No. 79; material to be added is underscored.
1. A new section is inserted into Bill No. 79 to read as follows:
"SECTION 3. The total appropriation of$9,245.22 shall be utilized to purchase
software for project and expense management related to the 2018 lava disaster relief
efforts."
2. SECTION 3 of Bill No. 79 is renamed to SECTION 4.
3. SECTION 4 of Bill No. 79 is renamed to SECTION 5.
Attached is a draft copy of Bill No. 79, Draft 2, with the above amendments incorporated therein.

THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,2019.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPL•
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 18-68, as amended, is hereby further amended by increasing revenues in the
following amount(s)to the fund(s) as set forth in Section 2.

SECTION 2. The foregoing amount(s)as specified in Section 1 hereof is/are hereby appropriated to the following

SECTION 3. The total appropriation of$9,245.22 shall be utilized to purchase software for project and expense

completion of the grant program(s).
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon the earlier of: its approval or on June 30, 2019.
