Increased fuel tax rates effective July 1, 2019, from 19 cents per gallon to 23 cents per gallon, are projected to generate an additional $6,057,755, which will be primarily utilized for the Public Safety Disaster/Emergency fund, road paving, flood control, tree trimming and other road maintenance, traffic signal upgrades, striping for roadway projects, school safety projects, and mass transit.
