U0 16 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO `O KA`U KAKOU FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES INCURRED AT THE 4TH OF JULY PARADE CELEBRATION& KEIKI FUN DAY. WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou(OKK) is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization that sponsors and supports community activities in the district of Ka`u that enhance the quality of life for keiki, kupuna, and businesses; and WHEREAS, OKK coordinated its annual 4th of July Parade Celebration& Keiki Fun Day on June 29,2019 in Nd`alehu, featuring children's activities,water slide,rock wall climbing, bouncing castle, games, and lunches for the seniors; and WHEREAS, OKK is requesting reimbursement of expenditures for permits, insurance, food, drinks, and other costs directly related to this event; and WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney support this event as it is in keeping with the goals and objective of the department to promote safe and health community activities; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program,project, event, activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to `O Ka`u Kakou for reimbursement of expenses incurred at the 4th of July Parade Celebration&Keiki Fun Day. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
