i COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII err cF•H►� RESOLUTION NO. 2.11 1.3 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR THE CONVOY OF HOPE BIG ISLAND COMMUNITY EVENT. WHEREAS, First Assembly of God, doing business as (d/b/a) Convoy of Hope Hawaii, is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization that provides an array of services and goods to families in need; and WHEREAS, Convoy of Hope Hawaii is a core partner of the Convoy of Hope Big Island Community Event,which will distribute free groceries, haircuts,medical screenings, clothing,job services, school supplies and backpacks,to community members in Hilo on August 24, 2019, at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium and the Butler Building; and WHEREAS, Convoy of Hope Hawaii is requesting Funding assistance for the Convoy of Hope Big Island Community Event, including but not limited to the expenses for backpacks and school supplies for children in the community; and WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation provides and/or facilitates a wide array of services and opportunities that meet the needs of the Big Island community while maintaining the cultural uniqueness of our rich heritage, diversity, and the aloha spirit; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to First Assembly of God d/b/a Convoy of Hope Hawaii to assist with expenses for the Convoy of Hope Big Island Community Event. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
