Your Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit,to which was referred Resolution No.
203-19, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 203-19, introduced by Committee Chair Susan L.K. Lee Loy at the request of the
Administration, and transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Danny B. Patel via
Communication No. 334, dated June 4, 2019, accepts the dedication of Road Lot 3-D, identified
as TMK No. (3) 7-3-004:025, situated at Kalaoa 5th, District of North Kona, Island of Hawaii,
County of Hawaii, and State of Hawaii, from Thomas P. Whittemore, trustee under that certain
unrecorded Revocable Trust of Thomas P. Whittemore, dated January 4, 1994, as amended and
restated, and Lucinda H. Whittemore, trustee under that certain unrecorded Revocable Trust of
Lucinda H. Whittemore, dated January 4, 1994, as amended and restated.
Committee Member Karen Eoff noted for the record that Mr. Whittemore was present via
videoconference in Kona to answer any questions about the dedication. Mr. Whittemore was
invited to make a statement but he declined.
Committee Chair Lee Loy noted that the Department of Public Works,the Department of Water
Supply, the Planning Department, and the office of the Corporation Counsel all have reviewed
the dedication and have raised no objections.
Your Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 203-19, and recommends its adoption.
