Your Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit, to which was referred Resolution
No. 204-19, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 204-19, introduced by Committee Chair Susan L.K. Lee Loy by request of the
Administration, accepts the dedication of Mamaka Street (Ola Hou Estates, Units 1 and 2) and
`Ohi`ohi Street(Ola Hou Estates,Unit 2,North and South Sections), affecting TMK
No. (3) 1-6-153:036, situated at Kea`au, District of Puna, Island and County of Hawaii, State of
Hawaii, from Graphic Images Hawaii, Inc., a Hawaii corporation.
Roland Higashi,president of Graphic Images Hawaii, and partner Laurie Higashi, were invited
to come forward. Mr. Higashi noted the resolution calls for the dedication of several streets, built
to county standards, for a subdivision in Kea`au. He said the roads have been inspected and
approved by the Department of Public Works, and he asked for your Committee's consideration.
Chair Lee Loy affirmed Mr. Higashi's statements regarding the road dedication and approval by
the Department of Public Works. There was no further discussion.
Your Committee on Public Works and Mass Transit is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 204-19, and recommends its adoption.
