Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement
The Department of Finance seeks to enter into lease agreements for five-year extensions
to utilize the premises for the Office of Housing and Community Development and ��
Information Technology offices.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into five-year, multi-year lease
agreements with Kaneshiro and Sons Enterprise, Limited and Glenn Kaneshiro
Partnership, for units 102 (with storage), 104, 105 and their back warehouse, identified as
a portion of Tax Map Key (3) 2-2-040:036.

A. REQUEST:
Prepare County Council submittal authorizing the County of Hawaii Finance Department to enter into Lease
Agreements for five year extensions to utilize the premises for The Office of Housing and Community
Development and Information Technology offices.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The County of Hawaii Office of Housing and Community Development (Houisng) currently utilizes the
premises consisting of units 102 w/storage, 104, and the back Warehouse owned by Kaneshiro and Sons
Enterprise, Limited and Glenn Kaneshiro Patnership, identified as a portion of tax map key (3) 2-2-040:036
for office and storage. Housing will now be able to be localized to one location, instead of two locations.
The County of Hawai'i Information Technology (IT) will be utizliing unit 105 at this same location. IT is in
need of a larger location to meet the County of Hawai'i 's growing need. The proposed County of Hawai'i
Office and Space Lease Agreements will be for a five (5) year period from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2024 with
an option to renewal of an additional five (5) year term.
